WORLD CUP OF BEER SOMMELIERS

2nd place Patrick Thomi (Switzerland), 2st place Elisa Raus (Germany), 3rd Michael Friedrich (Germany).

The World Championship of Beer Sommeliers is organized every two years by the Doemens Academy. The best of the 5000 trained beer sommeliers of the world compete in a three-round contest. In a knockout competition, the best participants then present a selected beer in the semi-final and have to prevail in direct comparison against each other.

The participants who qualify for the final round will compete in front of a top-class jury. Each finalist has to convince the expert jury with his knowledge of all topics relating to the beer and its presentation skills.

The one who has best transported the message of beer culture and variety will be crowned the winner and thus the new WORLD CHAMPION of BEER SOMMELIERS.
